The Ceremony:

The Ceremony will be at the Mozart Deck, perched atop Keystone Mountain.  You will take the River Run Gondola to the Mozart Deck overlooking the mountains to view Michael's and Laura's wedding.
 

 

 

The Reception:

 

From the Mozart Deck,  you will take another Gondola to the Alpenglow Stube.  The Alpenglow Stube is North America's highest fine dining restaurant located 11,444 feet above sea level and voted best atmosphere in Colorado by 2003 Zagat Survey.   The Alpenglow Stube is a 2-mile high Mountain top retreat made of hand-hewn timber. The Alpenglow Stube provides a unique show kitchen that will delight and entertain.  The Alpenglow Stube has "fabulous old-world food and service and the best setting in the state - it's a cool adventure that feels almost fairytale-ish."

Accommodations

It appears that most guests are going to try and stay in the River Run Village Area (see map). As you will see there are many lodging options there (Arapahoe, Black Bear , Buffalo, Dakota, Jackpine, Lone Eagle, Red Hawk, Timbers).

Also there is a free shuttle that will transport you around the Keystone area.

Also note, Keystone and the surrounding areas (Dillon and Frisco) have many accommodation options also.

 

 

 

In the first section below are rates we have negotiated with Keystone and the different accommodations. We really liked Lone Eagle and the Timbers and the Springs. All of the places listed in River run village are walk -able to the Gondola which will take up to the ceremony and reception.  The little town they are situated in have places to eat and some shopping.

 

NOTE: we have found that it is a little cheaper to find accommodations through Vacation Rental by owner, or others (which we have links below).  If you have some time, try to look at those pages first if cost is a factor.

 

A few other notes on Keystone Lodging if booked through the Group Rate (as opposed to through the Internet on your own)

* Keystone Reservation/Cancellation Policies.  One night's deposit in the form of either a check or credit card number is required within seven days of the reservation being made or else the reservation will be dropped.  After the deposit is received a confirmation will be sent.  Guest cancellations within 30 days of arrival are subject to forfeiture of full deposit amount.  Guest cancellations outside 30 days of arrival will result in return of deposit less a $30.00 processing fee.  No shows, late arrivals and early departures will be charged the room rate as reserved by the guest for the entire reserved period.  Check in time is after 4:00 PM; Checkout time is prior to 11:00 am.

If you make your lodging in a certain area (ie, River Run condos) Keystone will not put you in an exact property because they will try and put the whole group together in the same or close proximity and they can not do that until most reservations are made.

*Keystone Transportation.  Keystone provides complimentary transportation throughout the resort using a route system.  The nearest shuttle stop to your lodging will be designated to you upon check-in.  If transportation is needed from your condo to the wedding, please call Ext. 4200 to make arrangements.

The Inn: The Inn, a 103-room hotel, is within walking distance of the Keystone Mountain base area.  The deluxe hotel rooms feature 24-hour check-in and message service, room service, access to a hot tub facility, free resort shuttle services and many other in room amenities.  The Inn features the Summit Seafood Company restaurant and newly remodeled lounge and guestrooms.  The Inn has four room types: doubles, king, suites, and spa suites.  The Inn is pet friendly.

  1. Keystone Lodge: his award-winning AAA Four-Diamond rated hotel offers mountain views from each of its 152 luxurious rooms, most with private balconies.  The Lodge has three room types, including loft suites.  The Lodge serves as the hub of Keystone Resort.  It is home to three restaurants, piano bar and fitness center/spa with indoor/outdoor pool.

River Run Village: River Run, a pedestrian village, consists of exciting shops, restaurants and entertainment.  Located just steps from the gondola, this village features all of the convenience and charm of staying at the base of the Ski Mountain.  These luxury accommodations are complete with kitchens, underground parking, and access to hot tub facility, daily housekeeping and many other amenities.  Offering views of the new village, the units range in size from studio to four-bedroom units.

Easiest, Cheapest and most frequent Flights will be into Denver, Colorado

 

bullet American – American has offered a 5% discount on the lowest available fare you find.  It seems you will have to call  to  for the discount; telephone (800/433-1790). 
  1. Please refer to the LeBaron/Strudeman Wedding and Authorization # 3566AI (that’s I as in Incredible).  If you do this via the internet, you will not need to refer to the name.
  2. Q or O Class fares will not be discounted as they are usually already pretty cheap. Just look at fares and see if you can put in the code and see what happens…
  3. The booking dates for the discount apply from June 17 – July 1, 2006
